At least 177 passengers of Jeju Airlines Boeing 737 flight were killed in South Korea. The plane was carrying 181 people.
The tragic accident was captured on video, which shows the plane skidding down the runway with its wheels down. Seconds later, the plane crashes into a wall and bursts into flames.
Only two people have been rescued so far from the wreckage.
Two people were rescued from the crash, a man and a woman who were crew memebers of the flight, according to local fire chief.

What caused the deadly accident
The cause of one of the deadliest accidents in South Korea’s aviation history is been investigated by authorities. So far it has been reported that one of the potential causes was a bird strike,while at the same time the weather conditions at the time of the crash are on the table.
According to local media, moments before the crash a passenger texted a relative to say a bird was stuck in the wing. His final message was “Should I say my last words?”.
The Authorities are examing also the possibility of landing gear failure.

The CEO of Jeju Air”s public apology
The CEO of Jeju Air bowed in apology for the deadly aiplane crash.
“…Above all i want to give my sincere apology and condolences to those who have lost their lives in the accident and to their families. At this moment it is hard to presume the cause of the accident and we have to wait for the official investigation results…”.
