A passenger airplane of Southwest Airlanes abandoned at the last moment its landing procedure, in order to avoid a crash with a private jet that popped up on the landing runway.
The incident happened at the Chicago Midway Airport.
The pilot pulled up the plane and managed to return to the runway with a safe landing.

Επιβατικό αεροπλάνο της Southwest Airlanes εγκατέλειψε την τελευταία στιγμή τη διαδικασία προσγείωσης του, προκειμένου να αποφύγει σύγκρουση με ιδιωτικό τζετ που εμφανίστηκε ξαφνικά στον διάδρομο προσγείωσης.
Το περιστατικό συνέβη στο αεροδρόμιο Midway του Σικάγο. Ο πιλότος σήκωσε το αεροπλάνο ψηλά και κατάφερε να επιστρέψει στον διάδρομο με ασφαλή προσγείωση.
