At least two people lost their lives and other 68 were injured when a black car entered with full speed at a Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg in Germany.
According to governor Reiner Haseloff one of the deceased is a small child. Τhe city government’s website reports that 15 people are hospitalised in critical condition.
Guardian mentions that the driver of the car was arrested. The attacker has been identified as Taleb A., a medical doctor from Saudi Arabia. Governor Haseloff stated that the man had been living in Germany since 2006 and he was recognised as a refugee in 2016.
