A passenger flight of Azerbaijan Airlines crashed in Aktau in Kazakhstan,on Wednesday (25/12) morning.
According to the local authorities the plane was traveling from Baku to Grozny when it crashed near the city of Aktau. The plane was carrying 62 passengers and five crew members.
So far, the number of dead and injured passengers has not been clarified. Αccording to preliminary data 25 people survived.
As for the causes of the accident according to the Azerbaijan Airlines, the aircraft collided with a flock of birds and lost its stability in the air and crashed. Another source reported that a bottle exploded inside the aircraft while it was in the air.
