At least eight people were killed when a hot air balloon with about 22 people on board caught fire and crashed in the southern state of Santa Catarina in Brazil.
In a video posted on social media, the balloon can be seen engulfed in flames in the sky before losing shape and falling.
At least eight people have been confirmed dead, with two survivors. Rescue teams are still searching for others.
According to local media, the tourist hot air balloon was not licensed.
Police are investigating the tragic incident.

Τουλάχιστον οκτώ άνθρωποι σκοτώθηκαν όταν ένα αερόστατο θερμού αέρα με περίπου 22 επιβαίνοντες έπιασε φωτιά και συνετρίβη στη νότια πολιτεία Σάντα Καταρίνα στη Βραζιλία.
Σε βίντεο που δημοσιεύτηκε στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης, το αερόστατο φαίνεται να τυλίγεται στις φλόγες στον ουρανό και να πέφτει στο έδαφος.
Οι Αρχές έχουν επιβεβαιώσει τον θάνατο 8 ατόμων ενώ ομάδες διάσωσης εξακολουθούν να αναζητούν τους υπόλοιπους επιβαίνοντες. Επίσης υπάρχουν αναφορές πως 2 άτομα έχουν επιβιώσει του δυστυχήματος.
Σύμφωνα με τα τοπικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, το τουριστικό αερόστατο δεν είχε άδεια.
Η αστυνομία διερευνά το τραγικό περιστατικό.
