Petrohan case:The discovery of six bodies on a mountain in western Bulgaria is turning into a thriller. A 15-year-old boy was among the dead.
As Reuters reports, police have found three bodies inside a caravan in the Okolchitsa Peak area and believe they are linked to the discovery of three other victims in a shelter near Petrohan last week.
According to police investigations and the Prosecutor’s Office, it is believed that this is either a group suicide or a murder-suicide.
It should be noted that the shelter burned down and was a place used by members of a non-governmental organization dedicated to nature protection. Based on police’s CCTV footage on the day of the murders (or suicides) all six victims are seen saying goodbye to each other. The three who remained in the hut were later filmed setting it on fire.
Police said the NGO members were involved in Tibetan Buddhism, adding that Buddhist books and banners were found inside the hut. Four shell casings, two pistols and a rifle were also found near the bodies and according to doctors the shootings were carried out at close range.
