The worst blackout in recent history in Spain and Portugal has caused chaos in the two countries, with foreign media talking about one of the largest blackouts in European history.
Today’s massive blackout in Spain and Portugal and parts of France and Belgium, as reported by international media, could be the largest power outage ever recorded in Europe, according to the Telegraph. From traffic lights, to phones and hospitals to airports everything is “dark”.
The largest blackout to date was in 2003, when 56 million people in Italy and part of Switzerland were left without electricity for up to 12 hours.
Reports say that it will take 6 to 10 hours to restore power in Spain and the other countries affected! It is still unclear what caused the blackout in Spain, Portugal and France.
A Spanish official has already spoken about the scenario of a cyberattack.

Η χειρότερη διακοπή ρεύματος στη σύγχρονη ιστορία της Ισπανίας και της Πορτογαλίας έχει προκαλέσει χάος στις δύο χώρες, με τα ξένα μέσα ενημέρωσης να κάνουν λόγο για μία από τις μεγαλύτερες διακοπές ρεύματος στην ευρωπαϊκή ιστορία.
Η σημερινή μαζική διακοπή ρεύματος στην Ισπανία και την Πορτογαλία και σε περιοχές της Γαλλίας και του Βελγίου, όπως αναφέρουν διεθνή μέσα ενημέρωσης, θα μπορούσε να είναι η μεγαλύτερη διακοπή ρεύματος που έχει καταγραφεί ποτέ στην Ευρώπη, σύμφωνα με την Telegraph. Από τα φανάρια, μέχρι τα τηλέφωνα, το νερό και τα νοσοκομεία και τα αεροδρόμια, όλα είναι «σκοτεινά».
Η μεγαλύτερη διακοπή ρεύματος μέχρι σήμερα ήταν το 2003, όταν 56 εκατομμύρια άνθρωποι στην Ιταλία και σε μέρος της Ελβετίας έμειναν χωρίς ηλεκτρικό ρεύμα για έως και 12 ώρες.
Οι αναφορές αναφέρουν ότι θα χρειαστούν 6 έως 10 ώρες για να αποκατασταθεί η ηλεκτροδότηση στην Ισπανία και στις άλλες χώρες που επηρεάστηκαν! Δεν είναι ακόμη σαφές τι προκάλεσε τη διακοπή ρεύματος στην Ισπανία, την Πορτογαλία και τη Γαλλία.
Ισπανός αξιωματούχος έχει ήδη μιλήσει για το σενάριο μιας κυβερνοεπίθεσης ωστόσο δεν έχουν εξακριβωθεί ακόμη τα αίτια του μπλακ αουτ.
