President Donald Trump gave a speech at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that was held in National Harbor, Maryland, outside of Washington.
Having completed one month in office, Trump took stock of the new administration’s work so far, while also harshly criticizing the pevious actions of Joe Biden’s administration.
“We are going to make America great again”,
Regarding the Ukraine-Russia war, President Trump said he is on a good path to ending the hostilities, which have costed the lives of many young people. “The dead in this war are many more than the number they tell you. Also, so many buildings have been leveled and cultural heritage buildings that are now lost”. He also referred to the funding sent to Ukraine by the Biden administration. “The United States sent a total of $350 billion, essentially giving this money away. Why did we pay this money? Europe sent $100 billion, but in the form of a loan. If I were President, I would never allow this war to happen. Biden is incompetent.”.
Trump also spoke about the Israeli hostages being held by Hamas, as well as American military equipment in Afghanistan.
“Not a single hostage was released during the Biden administration,” Donald Trump stressed, while stating that he would push for all hostages to be returned to their families and also commented on the physical condition of the hostages.
Regarding Afghanistan, Trump once again pointed out that he would take back the American military equipment left there by the previous administration and which the Afghans are selling.
“I want to be a peacemaker, not a conqueror”, said Trump.
Harsh language against Biden
Throughout his speech, President Trump harshly criticized the previous administration, and Joe Biden in particular. “I am cleaning up the mess and believe me it is a mess”, said Trump.
“Biden every single thing he touched turned to shit,”turns everything he touches in shit,” Donald Trump said from the podium about his predecessor Joe Biden. “I’ve been advised not to use those words, but I do it for emphasis,” he said.
USAID, WHO and “woke agenda”
The World Health Organization and media friendly to the previous administration – as he himself emphasized – also did not escape Trump’s “fire”.US president described the WHO as a “fraud”, as well as the “green agenda” which he characterised it as “hoax”. “If you want to buy an electrical car, buy an electrical car, if you want to buy a gasoline energy car, buy it”.
Referring to the New York Times and Washington Post he said that they are “systemic” media and as businesses they are doing financially badly.
As for the wοke agenda, Trump referred to the recent executive order he signed banning men from participating in women’s sports. “There are two genders,” he emphasized.
About USAID, Donald Trump gave same examples: “25 million dollars to promote biodiversity conservation and socially responsible behavior in Colombia…40 million dollars on sedentary migrants…42 million dollars on social and behavior change in Uganda…10 million dollars on medical male circumcisions in Mozambique… 14 million dollars for improving public procurement in Serbia…486 million dollars to a Consortium of Elections and political process strengthening ideas, of which 22 million dollars goes to inclusive and partcipat political process in Moldova…19 million dollars for biodiversity in Nepal…18 million dollars for helping India with its elections…32 million dollars for the Prague Civil Society Center…millions of dollars for sex change operation in Guatemala”.
Donald Trump reffering to other reforms stated: “We’re getting rid of all the corrupt and incompetent bureaucrats. 75,000 bureaucrats on voluntary retirement. We want to make government smaller and more efficient. And we’re doing something else: if they don’t report to work, they’re fired. In other words, they have to go to work”.
