The famous singer and songwriter Angie Stone, best known as a member of the iconic hip-hop trio “The Sequence”, lost her life in a car accident at age 63.
Stone was killed in a car crash after her performance in Montgomery, Alabama. Her daughet confirmed the sad news on a post on social media.
So far no details about the accident are known.
The music group “The Sequence” released hits like “Funk You Up”, a song that was later sampled in Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and Dr. Dre’s “Keep Their Heads Ringin'”.
Angie Stone started a solo career in the late 1990s, with her debut album named, “Black Diamond”, going gold in US.
Some of her most famous hits are “Brotha”, “No More Rain” and “Wish I Didn’t Miss You”.
