Forget the big football organizations like Champions League, as a new vision for the future of football comes from Beijing and its called Roboleague!
At the Roboleague held on Saturday night in the Chinese capital, four 3-on-3 football teams were made up of humanoid robots, providing an incredible spectacle!
Equipped with advanced optical sensors, the robots were able to recognize the ball and navigate the field with agility.
They were also designed to stand up on their own after falling. However, during the match, several had to be carried off the field on stretchers by staff, adding to the realism of the experience.
According to the organizers, a key aspect of the competition was that all robots operated fully autonomously using AI-guided strategies without any human intervention or supervision.
Roboleague will be followed up at the upcoming World Humanoid Robot Games, to be held in Beijing.

Στο Roboleague που διεξήχθη το βράδυ του Σαββάτου στην κινεζική πρωτεύουσα, τέσσερις ποδοσφαιρικές ομάδες 3 εναντίον 3 απαρτίζονταν από ανθρωποειδή ρομπότ, που προσέφεραν ένα απίστευτο θέαμα στους θεατές!
Εξοπλισμένα με προηγμένους οπτικούς αισθητήρες, τα ρομπότ ήταν σε θέση να αναγνωρίζουν την μπάλα και να πλοηγούνται στο γήπεδο με ευελιξία.
Είχαν επίσης σχεδιαστεί για να στέκονται μόνα τους μετά από πτώση. Ωστόσο, κατά τη διάρκεια του αγώνα, αρκετά έπρεπε να μεταφερθούν εκτός γηπέδου με φορεία από το προσωπικό, προσθέτοντας μία δόση ρεαλισμού!
Σύμφωνα με τους διοργανωτές, μια βασική πτυχή του αγώνα ήταν ότι όλα τα ρομπότ λειτουργούσαν πλήρως αυτόνομα χρησιμοποιώντας στρατηγικές που καθοδηγούνται από την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη χωρίς καμία ανθρώπινη παρέμβαση ή επίβλεψη.
Η συνέχεια θα δοθεί στους επερχόμενους Παγκόσμιους Αγώνες Ανθρωποειδών Ρομπότ, που πρόκειται να πραγματοποιηθούν στο Πεκίνο.
