The wax figure of French President Emmanuel Macron was “kidnapped” by Greenpeace activists.
According to a police source, three activists, posing as tourists, visited the famous Grevin wax museum in Paris.
There, they changed their clothes to look like museum employees and stole the wax statue. They then wrapped it in a blanket and left the building.
A short time later, the wax figure of Macron was found in front of the Russian embassy, located in the 16th arrondissement of the French capital.
According to reports, the theft and placement of the statue at the Russian embassy was a protest against France’s economic ties with Moscow.
“For us, France is playing a double game” and French President Emmanuel Macron “embodies this double language: he supports Ukraine but encourages French companies to continue trading with Russia,” said Jean-François Julliard, the director general of the environmental organization Greenpeace in France.

“Θύμα απαγωγής” κλοπής έπεσε το κέρινο ομοίωμα του Γάλλου προέδρου Εμμανουέλ Μακρόν από ακτιβιστές της ΓκρινΠισ.
Σύμφωνα με μια αστυνομική πηγή, τρεις ακτιβιστές, υποδυόμενοι τους τουρίστες επισκέφθηκαν το διάσημο μουσείο κέρινων ομοιωμάτων Grevin του Παρισιού.
Εκεί άλλαξαν τα ρούχα που φορούσαν, ώστε να φαίνονται ως υπάλληλοι του μουσείου και έκλεψαν το κέρινο άγαλμα. Στη συνέχεια το τύλιξαν μέσα σε μία κουβέρτα και έφυγαν ανενόχλητοι από το κτίριο.Λίγη ώρα αργότερα ο κέρινος Μακρόν βρέθηκε μπροστά στην πρεσβεία της Ρωσίας, που βρίσκεται στο 16ο Διαμέρισμα της γαλλικής πρωτεύουσας.
Σύμφωνα με αναφορές η κλοπή και η τοποθέτηση του αγάλματος στην ρωσική πρεσβεία έγινε ως ένδειξη διαμαρτυρίας για τους οικονομικούς δεσμούς που διατηρεί η Γαλλία με τη Μόσχα.
«Για μας, η Γαλλία παίζει διπλό παιχνίδι» και ο Γάλλος πρόεδρος, Εμμανουέλ Μακρόν, «ενσαρκώνει αυτή τη διπλή γλώσσα: στηρίζει την Ουκρανία αλλά ενθαρρύνει τις γαλλικές εταιρείες να συνεχίσουν το εμπόριο με τη Ρωσία», είπε ο Ζαν-Φρανσουά Ζουλιάρ, ο γενικός διευθυντής της οικολογικής οργάνωσης, Greenpeace, στη Γαλλία.
