At the spectacular 82nd Golden Globes ceremony, “Emilia Perez” and “The Brutalist” were the big winners, winning 4 awards each, while “Shogun” and “Baby Reindeer” won in the television categories. Jodie Foster, Colin Farrell and Demi Moore were among the actors who won Golden Globes for their performances.
Demi Moore, was thrilled by her first Golden Globe award for best actress in a comedy or musical, for her performance in the film “The Elixir of Youth.”
“Emilia Perez”‘ managed to win 4 awards, including best musical film, best foreign language film and original song. This is a film by Jacques Audiard that tells the story of a Mexican drug lord who changes gender.
“The Brutalist”, which explores the immigrant experience after World War II, won Best Dramatic Picture, while director Brady Corbett and star Adrien Brody were also honored.
In television, the series “Shogun”, set in feudal Japan, dominated with four awards, including Best Dramatic Series. Lead actors Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai won awards for their outstanding performances.
“Baby Reindeer” won Best Miniseries, while Colin Farrell and Jodie Foster were honored for their performances in “The Penguin” and “True Detective: North Country”, respectively.
“Nobody to thank for this, I did my best. Roughly 34, 35 people. There are too many people to thank. You all know it takes a village whether it’s on the small screen or the big screen,” said Colin Farrell.
The 82nd Golden Globes were hosted by stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser, the first solo female host in the history of the awards.
