Italy: Major fire broke out at the University of Tuscia (VIDEO)

A major fire broke out at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, about 80 km north of Rome, on Wednesday (04/06).

Firefighters are trying to put out the fire that engulfed the agriculture faculty on the Riello campus, with local media reporting that the second floor of the building had collapsed.

According to local media, students, professors and administrative staff safely evacuated the building, with no injuries reported.

There are no immediate reports of the cause of the fire.

Μεγάλη πυρκαγιά ξέσπασε στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Τούσια στο Βιτέρμπο, που βρίσκεται περίπου 80 χλμ. βόρεια της Ρώμης, την Τετάρτη (04/06).

Οι πυροσβέστες μάχονταν με τις φλόγες που κατέκαψαν τη σχολή γεωργίας στην πανεπιστημιούπολη Riello, με τα τοπικά μέσα ενημέρωσης να αναφέρουν ότι κατέρρευσε ο δεύτερος όροφος του κτιρίου.

Σύμφωνα με τα τοπικά μέσα φοιτητές, καθηγητές και διοικητικό προσωπικό εγκατέλειψαν έγκυρα το κτήριο, χωρίς να υπάρξει κάποιος τραυματισμός.

Μέχρι στιγμής δεν υπάρχουν αναφορές για την αιτία της πυρκαγιάς.
