French President Emmanuel Macron, speaking to reporters in Hanoi, confirmed the authenticity of the video of his wife slapping him.
Macron said of the incident that it was a “game” as they usually joke with each other.
“I was just joking with my wife, as we do quite often…I see a lot of crazy people spending their days explaining interpretations on all these videos”, said Emmanuel Macron.
However in the video, which has gone viral, the slap that Brigitte Macron throws at her husband as the door of the presidential plane opens, judging by his reaction, probably does not refer to a joke!

Ο πρόεδρος της Γαλλίας Εμμανουέλ Μακρόν μιλώντας σε δημοσιογράφους στο Ανόι επιβεβαίωσε την αυθεντικότητα του βίντεο με τη σύζυγό του να τον χαστουκίζει.
Ο Μακρόν δήλωσε για το περιστατικό πως πρόκειται για “παιχνίδι” καθώς συνηθίζουν να αστειεύονται μεταξύ τους.
Πάντως στο βίντεο, το οποίο έχει γίνει viral, το χαστούκι που ρίχνει η Μπριτζίτ Μακρόν στον σύζυγό της κατά το άνοιγμα της πόρτας του προεδρικού αεροπλάνου, αν κρίνουμε από την αντίδρασή του μάλλον δεν παραπέμπει σε αστείο!
