A massive 7.7-magnitude earthquake has caused chaos in Myanmar.
Among the buildings that have collasped, the historic royal palace Mahamuni Buddha Temple in Mandalay is included.
Many sections of the wall surrounding the royal palace of the last Burmese monarchy have opened up, according to images published by state television network MRTV.
The palace, located in northern Mandalay, was originally built between 1857 and 1859 as part of the foundation of the new royal capital by King Mindon.
