The Holy See Press Office released an update on Pope Francis’ health as his clinical picture is complex and it requires longer hospitalization.
According to Vatican press, “the results of the medical tests carried out over the past few days and today have shown a polymicrobial infection of the respiratory tract, which has led to a further change in therapy.
“All tests carried out to date are indicative of a complex clinical picture that will require appropriate hospitalization.”
This was the communique of the Holy See Press on Monday updating journalists on the health of Pope Francis who was hospitalized with bronchitis on 14 February at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital.
As a result of this, the Press Office has noted the Pope’s General Audience, this week, is therefore cancelled.
