Pope Francis has been discharged from hospital after being hospitalized since February 14 due to a serious respiratory infection. The 88-year-old Pontiff appeared for a few minutes on the balcony of the Tzemili hospital, where he blessed and greeted the crowd of hundreds of faithful who welcomed him with warm applause.
After his appearance at the window, the Pope entered the familiar white Fiat 500 and headed to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and then to his residence in the Vatican.
After five weeks in the hospital, the Pope has been discharged.

Ο Πάπας Φραγκίσκος πήρε εξιτήριο από το νοσοκομείο αφού νοσηλευόταν από τις 14 Φεβρουαρίου λόγω σοβαρής λοίμωξης του αναπνευστικού.
Ο 88χρονος Ποντίφικας εμφανίστηκε για λίγα λεπτά στο μπαλκόνι του νοσοκομείου Τζεμίλη, όπου ευλόγησε και χαιρέτησε το πλήθος των εκατοντάδων πιστών που τον υποδέχτηκαν με θερμά χειροκροτήματα.
Μετά την εμφάνισή του στο παράθυρο, ο Πάπας μπήκε στο γνώριμο λευκό Fiat 500 και κατευθύνθηκε στη Βασιλική της Santa Maria Maggiore, και στη συνέχεια στην κατοικία του στο Βατικανό.
