So what if its only November? Is it not true that thinking of Christmas puts a small joyful and merry smile on our lips? Decorated colorful trees, shining ornaments, lights, Santa Clauss, Rudolf, elves, mistletoe…and the magic of Christmas is back. And its coming back, step by step, in the town of Thessaloniki.
The classic Christmas song “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”, with the legendary voice of Bing Crosby or Dean Martin, popped up in my mind as I was taking a walk in the Mediterranean Cosmos Mall, a week ago.
The Xmas mood begins just outside of the main entrance where the star of Bethlehem stands on the pavement.
Shortly after entering inside the mall, glowing white lights are hanging from the ceiling. With hanging lights are decorated all the alleys.
As you walk forward, heading to the escalators in order to go to the lower level, take a look at the view from the round balcony which is decorated with garlands and lights.
A breathtaking huge golden shiny deer is standing not far by the escalators welcoming the guests.
So far missing from this festive atmosphere are the decorated Christmas trees, which will surely be added in the next period of time, as well as the carousels in the outdoor square of the Mediterrannean Cosmos Mall.
The magic of Christmas does not stop here. Thesnewsline.com will be back soon with more Xmas. For now, let’s enjoy Bing Crosby cause definitely it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
