Oh yes, we are just one week away from the Christmas holidays and Thesnewsline.com is taking another pre-Christmas quest in the center of Thessaloniki.
This time starting point was Karolou Dihel Street and around 3.30 pm we found ourselves walking along Georgiou Stavrou Street.

Well, here the level of Christmas spirit was a little bit low…
But having crossed the small pedestrian street, we emerged onto the pedestrian street of Agia Sophia. Since our last visit here, the Christmas atmosphere was more enriched.

Heading to Tsimiski Street we made a thought to visit another pedestrian street, Iktinou.

Iktinou & Zeuxidos Streets
Turning from Tsimiski to Iktinou the visitor can see the view of the Orthodox Church of Agias Sofias.

(In Iktinou we were tempted to taste the famous “triangular” dessert of Thessaloniki. Crispy phyllo pastry filled with pastry cream!).

On the corner of the white apartment building with the double windows and balconies (picture IKTINOU), there is another famous pedestrian street, Zeuxidos Street, that is full of shops, café-bars and restaurants.

Palaion Patron Germanou Street
Our walk continued from Zeuxidos, to Pavlou Mela and to Palaion Patron Germanou Street. And we descovered some interesting Christmas shop windows.

Sunset view from Agias Sofias Street
Being at Mitropoleos and Agias Sofias Street the sunset is magnificent!

A beautiful Christmas tree at the corner of Agias Sofias Street and Nikis Avenue.

A two-hours walk through the alleys and streets of Thessaloniki is a good reason to end the day with a nice cup of coffee.

(Of course we didn’t expect to return home licening to one of the most played Christmas song…can you guess it, before hitting play?!)
Until Thesnewsline.com‘s next Christmas quest in Thessaloniki, enjoy the video and take care.
