The resignation of Friedrich Merz and new elections is being called by AfD leader Alice Weidel, according to recent statements to journalists.
The reason is the failure of the German parliament to elect the leader of the CDU/CSU, Friedrich Merz, as chancellor. “As AfD, we have set a goal. We are ready to take on the responsibility of the government. And we demand that common sense prevail. Mr. #Merz must resign immediately. The way must be opened for new elections in our country!”

Αφορμή, η αποτυχία της γερμανικής βουλής να εκλέξει ως καγκελάριο τον επικεφαλής της CDU/CSU, Φρέντριχ Μερτς.
