At the same time, police and safeguards are questing people and residents who return to their destroyed properties. It must be mentioned that there are many incidents of looting in the abandoned or burnt houses.
Authorities have declared a curfew in the evacuated areas in an effort to curb looting. “The curfew will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Unless you are a public safety or other disaster relief worker, you have no reason to be in these locations. And if you are seen in these areas, you will be arrested,” the Los Angeles Police Chief said.
According to recent statement of Gov. Gavin Newsom: “ I am calling for an independent investigation into the loss of water pressure to local fire hydrants and the reported unavailability of water supplies from the Santa Ynez Reservoir.”, reports nbcnews.com.
Despite what Gov. Newsom states and the mayors of the cities, people are putting on the table these crucial questionmarks:
No forest maintenance – No water for hydrants – Fire equipment donated to Ukraine- Fire fighters fired for not getting vaxed – $17 million cut from the FD budget- Focus on DEI training…
